Overview

The goal of my team was to create a level that stood apart in looks, feeling, gameplay, and story. Caribbean Invasion was the outcome. Modeled after a seaside ghetto in Perla, it shares many similarities with "favela" type towns. Caribbean Invasion is a maze with a lot of tight corners with a claustrophobic and dangerous feeling. All wrapped into a bright and colorful setting. The player will encounter enemies units throughout the level as well as have to solve various environmental puzzles. At the end of the level there is a boss guarding a beacon that is guiding the invaders to the town. Defeat the boss and destroy the beacon to save the town.

Primary Duties

  • Designed main mechanics abilites, and character controller systems.

  • Designed, built, and balanced level sections

  • Designed, built, and revised all facets of the environmental puzzles and gameplay mechanic systems.

  • Created and maintained game & level design document which included all gameplay mechanics, level designs, and story details.
